Do You Need Help With Your Personal Finances?

If your goal is to obtain wealth doing so is not necessarily based on how much money you make, your title or education.   Accumulating wealth is based on how much money you keep, save and grow.  Our owner, Sharman G. Lawson, offers clients one-on-one personal finance coaching.  With over 20+ years as a financial coach, Sharman has personally coached and trained thousands of individuals with incomes between $25,000 to $600,000 annually.  What she found is that many clients making high salaries were completely broke, living paycheck-to-paycheck and deeply in debt.  On the other hand, she had clients making less than $30,000 that were better off than the “so called” wealthy.

Mental "Peace"
Debt can bring shame, anxiety and fear every waking moment of the day and gave you sleepless nights.   Too much debt can literally paralyze
you mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  Whether you work a job or own a business, financial freedom boils down to lifestyle habits that entail living below your means, debt elimination, earning, saving and investing in income producing investments and businesses.

How Sharman G. Lawson Paid Off Her First Home in Less Than Five Years
When Sharman and her husband met they had very little.  She met her husband on Good Friday and two days later he asked her to marry him, on Easter Sunday.  Sharman’s husband wasn't even making $8.00 an hour, and she was making around $12.00 an hour.  They met in April and got married seven months later, in November.  They got married at the justice of peace, lived in an apartment for eight months and purchased their first home in exactly eight months of being married.  They both had common financial dreams and goals.  They house-hacked their new home over 25 years ago, before they even heard that term.   Sharman saw landlords renting out rooms in homes when she lived in California and Puerto Rico, so she knew she wanted to do that when they purchased a home.  To make a long story short, they purchased a three story home with five bedrooms and three full baths.  They lived on the second floor and rented each room separately on the third level and the basement level.  Sharman and her husband both worked full-time jobs.  Sharman also taught people how to learn software in the evenings and weekends in their home.  They lived on one salary and saved and invested the other salary.   The room rental income they put directly on the mortgage, paying extra principal payments.  Any extra income and raises they received they put directly on the mortgage as extra payments.  They had two cars, but gave away one car to save on gas, maintenance and insurance.  They cooked more and went out less.  Instead of going out to fancy restaurants for birthdays and anniversaries they had nice dinners at home.  Sharman’s husband started writing her poems as a gift, and still today each and every birthday and anniversary he surprises her with an original poem.  At exactly five years of purchasing their first home, aggressively paying extra principal payments, their first house was paid off in less than five years from the day the purchased it.  They never made close to six-figures during that time.  All they had was a dream, goals and the desire to meet their financial goals.  They did it!

Earn, Save and Invest Your Way to Wealth
Sharman and her husband together have owned and operated many different types of businesses over the years, and have owned many homes.  She can honestly say the best way to create and build wealth is by having a successful business that generates cash-flow and profits.   Also, it is important to have multiple streams of other unrelated income.   Sharman and her husband worked together in home based businesses for over 18 years.  They lived and survived through good and bad economies, and never lost anything.  They never gave up, because they had a dream.  Sometimes they adjusted their financial plan, delayed it, or changed the plan.  However, their financial vision and goal never changed.  Financial freedom and independence was their driving force from day one.  In 2010, after still feeling the effects of the great recession, they came up with a new plan and business idea.  They decided to open a licensed personal care home for the elderly, and in 2012 they also started a care home licensing consulting and training firm.  The consulting business started to take off in 2013 and in 2017 they were able to sale their consulting business.  Selling their consulting business allowed them to pay off another home, fund their retirement and stop working.  From 2015 to 2017 they were able to accumulate enough wealth to stop working by saving 40-50% of their six-figure incomes and selling their business.  Their lifestyle involves no debt, living below their means and having income producing investments.  Now, Sharman's husband is getting his MBA full-time, and Sharman is starting more businesses.  Neither have pensions.  Neither are they old enough to take social security.  If they can achieve financial independence you can too.

Get Financial "Peace"
If you are tired of spinning your wheels financially, do something about it.  If your financial situation is causing you worry, health issues and make you lose sleep at night, do something about it.  Financial peace comes when you decide you’re sick and tired of financial chaos in your home, life and relationship.

You are not getting any younger.  Stop talking about what you want to change, but not making any steps to really change your financial situation.  So 5, 10, 20 years will come and go, where will you be financially?   What will your life look like?   If your hearts desire is to start a business your finances must be in order.  If your personal finances are run sloppy, you will do the same in running your business.

Here is the bottom line, if you do not have a plan to change and improve your financial situation, you may be the roadblock or obstacle that delays your dreams.   Life is way too short.  If you need a strategic plan, accountability, guidance and coaching to get your finances in order, call:  770-966-5236.

It's working.  I just wanted you to know what a difference you made in my life and my finances. There is always room for improvement - but I feel for the FIRST TIME EVER that I have a handle on my goals and how much I am spending. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.   Best wishes,C.M. - California

I have found that my seriousness about following through on my goals has profoundly increased, my desire to see change has increased, my ability to actually reduce my spending and increase my savings has increased, and perhaps, best of all, I'm not intimidated by my financial situation anymore.  ~ Sasha - Washington

Thank you for letting us know that there is hope.  ~ P.G. - Oregon

You are giving to God first by sharing your gifts and talents with others.  Thanks for what you are giving to me, my family, and generations to come, and later as a ripple effect to my community and the world as I continue on my path with vision and purpose.  ~ J.B. - Missouri
